Secondly, trade routes, once you have your trade routes established, you will need a navy and army to protect it, usually, the AI won't raid land trade routes, but they will with the naval ones. Depending on your difficulty, getting trade partners can be costly too, they sometimes will ask you for money in return, accept, since that small price, is very small compared to a lucrative trade route. One of you major income through the game will be trade, so, here is a couple tips to get you trade income upįirst, the obvious one, trade partners, you need trade partner to trade with, try and get as many trade partners as possible, even if you plan on attacking them later, money is money, it doesn't matter who it comes from. This is a guide, hence, you don't have to follow it by the letter.Īlso, this is a free material, so you may, if you so wish, use this at your pleasure. but that latter part is my own personal opinion. however, you may use blitz tactics if you so wish, however, i personally find it ruins the fun and the game in doing so. amongst other things, in battle, the biggest change, is that the opponent has a higher morale, and yours, lowered (in comparison).Īlso, some people are against blitz tactics, and as such, i have included very little tactics in this aspect. this is because, on VH for example, more unrest. This guide is written for a Very Hard campaign standard, and as such, some things which i say as impossible, or very hard to achieve, or improbable, might change on a lower difficulty setting. the army near Konigsberg should take Breslau, the army in Dresden should take Prague, and the army in Bavaria should take Vienna.Before i start, here is a couple things i wish to say:įirstly, english is not my first language, and this guide contains quite a numerous number of errors, so please do ignore them and excuse me, also, please don't comment on my bad grammar, it's rather pointless. They will invade the next turn, and if they don't, you should hit them hard and fast. As soon as this is done, position armies in eastern Bavaria and Dresden and prepare for war with Austria. Capture their territories swiftly, and destroy the college in Cologne (their population is harder to quell because Munich is a major city). BOOM! now you're at war with Hannover, Westphalia, Wurttemburg, and Bavaria and no one else to help them out. Split them up into 4 even armies and invade Westphalia first, and select "call allies to help" even if you don't have any allies. Send your massive army (should be almost 2 whole stacks) to the western-most point in Saxony. Now spend 3 turns cranking out line infantry in Konigsberg, Berlin and Dresden. I usually try to broker an alliance with them, and on the easier difficulties this isn't tough to do, but I would recommend stationing troops near Konigsberg and Gdynia on a harder difficulty level. Make peace with them by offering Poland back, and get a trade agreement (necessary for the invasion of the other German states). Now invade the rest of Poland-Lithuania, right? Nope. By taking out Saxony and invading West Prussia and Poland at the same time, it's easy to quickly bring Poland-Lithuania to its knees. Saxony is also crucial to the success of my guide.
At the beginning of the game, Hannover is allied to Great Britain and Westphalia (GB being a trade partner and potential ally, this is not a lucrative country to invade), Bavaria is allied to Austria, Wurttemburg, and Westphalia, Wurttemburg is allied to Westphalia, Austria, and Bavaria, and Westphalia is allied to Hannover, Wurttemburg, and Bavaria (bingo).Īs you stated before, Saxony is a protectorate of Poland-Lithuania. Depending on who is friends with who, where you invade, and most importantly when you invade, you could be at war with 12 countries or just 2.
